Training and educating are among Seba’s favourite activities in diversity management. No organisation would ever consider allowing a manager to start working with finances, marketing or human resource management without having at least partially trained and prepared them. For intercultural and diversity management however, managers are expected to have a natural, inborn talent. It isn’t considered a true management skill and success or failure is attributed to manager’s personal character. The concept that this topic can and should be taught, just like other management tools, hasn’t yet been accepted in many organisations. Yet it is a topic, an important and interesting one which is still quite unique in Europe. This is why you will only encounter enthusiastic and motivated trainers and teachers at Seba.
